Registration

Registration for the Spring 2009 season opened on October 1, 2008. We use an on-line system for conducting registration. You will be able to register from the convenience of your own home or where ever you have access to the Internet. You can start registration by clicking on one of the programs above.

Existing Account or New Account

Existing Accounts

In the event your player played for LSBA last season, then you already have an account and only need to login under your previous account ID and Password.  Don't worry if you do not remember the ID or Password.  You can have them sent to you via your email.  The system will require you to set a new password  this year after you log in for the first time.  The old password will have expired.

New Accounts

If you are new to LSBA, you will need to establish a new account, account ID and password.  Please remember the ID and Password because you will use that during the Practice Season and Game Season to review the  schedule, see notes from the coach, see your team mates and their telephone numbers.

Coaches will use this to contact players via email.  This will also provide the coach a current roster of players for the team.  The coach or assistant coach will be able to post comments and pictures about a game as well as entering the score of the game.

Preformed Teams

If you already belong to a team you will still need to register and pay the league fees and check with your coach in terms of additional payment you will need to make to the coach as well as what name you should enter for the team name. The league will move the player on to the proper team. Players moving on and off Preformed Teams may be charged an administrative fee of $15 for making the change.

Age

To be eligible to play, your player must be of the proper league age, and must live within the official Lake Sammamish Baseball Association boundaries. The league age requirement is determined based on your child's actual age as of April 30th of the season they are registering for. For example, if you are registering for Spring 2008 then it would be their age as of April 30th of 2008.  You will need to register for the proper age group even in the event you are requesting to have your player play in an older age group.  You will then need to request from LSBA a change of status.  This is done not only for insurance purposes but to provide each player an enjoyable playing season. The player will be required to attend the skill evaluation to verify the capability and skills to play in a different division.

Division Information

Cascade division (Open Enrollment) -

  1. Open enrollment for 12 thru 14 year olds, all players registered will be placed on a team and guaranteed play time.
  2. Team formation will take place after a skill evaluation and be based upon a serpentine draft.
  3. Will only play against other Pony league's Cascade division unless prior agreement is made to play outside the league.
  4. Cascase division teams will be provided team shirts and hats.  The balance of the uniform will be provided by the players family.

 Pony 13U division (Preformed Teams)

  1. No open enrollment for this division will be held, player must still registered but be associated to a team.
  2. Only full rostered teams are allowed. All players must come in with a team.
  3. Teams must provide their own coaches, uniforms and must provide volunteer hours for the operation of the league.
  4. Standard equipment will be provided for each team.
  5. Pony 13U now allows 12 year old players on the team.

Olympic division (Preformed Teams)

  1. No open enrollment for this division will be held, player must still registered but be associated to a team.
  2. Only full rostered teams are allowed. All players must come in with a team.
  3. Teams must provide their own coaches, uniforms and must provide volunteer hours for the operation of the league.
  4. No 13 year old will be allowed on an Olympic team unless a petition is submitted by their coaches and signed by the parents and approved by the board.
  5. Also new for this season, an attempt will be made to schedule interlock games with either Babe Ruth and/or Sandy Koufax teams toward the end of league play to give players an opportunity to experience 60x90 diamond size. This is planned though and is not guaranteed at this time.

Colt division (Open Enrollment and Preformed Teams)

  1. Open enrollment for 14 thru16 year olds, all players registered will be placed on a team and guaranteed play time.
  2. Preformed teams are allowed but must have enough players registered to form a team or registration fees may be refunded after registration deadline.  Preformed teams may use some players from open enrollment to make a complete team. Using open enrollment players will need to be preapproved by the Board.
  3. The Board only recommend 14 year old players play at this level after being reviewed at a skill evaluation early in the Junior Division Season.  The competition at this level increases greatly over the Junior Division.

Misc Info

  1. League boundaries will be enforced. Lake Sammamish Baseball Association boundaries are different than the local Little Leagues and should be verified. If the player lives within the school district boundaries for  Issaquah HS, Skyline HS, East Lake HS, and Redmond HS, then they are eligible to play in the Lake Sammamish Baseball Association. North Bend City residents are also eligible to play. Players who would attend Newport, Liberty or Bellevue high schools may not be eligible to participate in the Lake Sammamish Baseball Association, unless they obtain a waiver from their local Pony or Babe Ruth League organization.
  2. Registration for the season will start October 1 and normal registration ending on February 29 of the following year.
  3. There will be an early registration fee, a normal registration fee, and a late registration fee.  Registering late does not guarantee a position on a team.  It will be on a wait list process.
  4. A $25 administration fee will be charged for any cancelled player.
  5. No withdrawl refunds after March 1st for the Junior Division and after April 1 for the Senior Division with the exception of a prorated refund due to medical conditons.
